The Acquiring Data Analyst will work with the Acquiring Manager in support of acquiring bank partners’ day to day operations and acquiring bank projects involving data analysis. You will become an expert in assigned banks, card brands, merchant transactions, and payment methods, and work with cross-functional BlueSnap teams. You will have the opportunity to bring an understanding of payments to BlueSnap which will add to the success of our team’s knowledge and our products and services. 

This role will be based in our Waltham, MA office with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned projects and tracking of operational issues, functionalities, services, and deliverables across partners in cards, banking, and other payment methods
  • Assist in managing operational relationships across partners in cards, banking, and other payment methods
  • Work cross-functionally with a number of internal teams, including Product, Finance, and others to resolve operational issues and build the best products for our payments stack
  • Support local sales, account management, and implementation teams on successful sale and implementation of card and alternative payment methods with key strategic partners and merchants
  • Research and analyze data to effectively draw and support conclusions
  • Effectively utilize internal tools to generate custom reports as required
  • Identify data and processes of the acquiring team that need improvement or correction, and facilitate implementation of a solution
  • Draft detailed procedures for new initiatives, reports, operational matters, or as otherwise assigned
  • Oversee data required to manage processor relationships and ensure appropriate business teams are involved in changes
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Payments experience preferred, preferably with merchants or businesses accepting Card Payments
  • Thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles to resolve complex issues
  • Highly motivated, strong initiative, energetic, agile, responsible, and results oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective listening
  • Multi-tasking capabilities along with the ability to effectively organize workload to satisfy deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
