Acquisition Engineer
Merlin has an opportunity for an Acquisition Engineer to assist the government plan and manage contracts and their associated services and capabilities in Springfield, VA. The successful candidate will:
- Serve as the Government's trusted advisor in successfully planning, acquiring, and executing non-core contracts
- Support overall technical and programmatic execution of enterprise contracts and task orders
- Develop integrated assessments and products describing status of contracts and associated management activities
- Support development of various acquisition products, technical elements of engineering change proposals, award fee briefs, statements of work, etc.
- Contribute to program management reviews, technical exchanges; provide sound analysis and recommendations for successful program execution
- Craft presentations, white papers, technical/programmatic analysis, status reports, etc. for a variety of audiences; conveys information in crisp, articulate manner
Required Qualifications:
- Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly
- 9+ years' experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Innovative, and highly motivated Acquisition Engineer well-versed in acquisition process, contracts management, budget planning
- Experience with National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and associated acquisition manual
- Familiar with GEOINT and SIGINT overall space and ground architecture
- Familiar with systems engineering and systems development processes
- Strong data analysis and data visualization skills
- Polished communicator and proven collaborator; demonstrated ability to coordinate across all levels of government to ensure contracts effectively deliver required services and capabilities
- Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics
Desired Experience:
- Familiar with Jira and Confluence; Digital Engineering
- Familiar with systems development methodologies (e.g Agile, DevSecOps, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.)
