Actuarial Analyst II (hybrid)

Summary: This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing data and enhancing actuarial skills. Effectively managing time and continues to enhance work quality while beginning to interface with the business. With minimal guidance through run work and appropriate supervision outside of run work. We are looking for a talented candidate with actuarial experience that can work on various projects in pricing, reserving, capital management or other special actuarial studies.

What You'll Be Doing:

Reserving

• Ability to independently choose appropriate reserving methods so appropriate method(s) and selection(s) are utilized.
• Complete independence and mastery of reserve booking process and produce accurate monthly results for financials.
• With appropriate guidance, gain the knowledge required of run projects not performed on a quarterly basis.

Pricing

• Build on rate review foundation by implementing more complex segmented rate changes. Complete required analyses in support of changes and provide business partners with general commentary and overview of observations, results, and driving factors of our experience.
• Incorporate knowledge of Grange products and analyses from prior rate revisions into indication work.
• Gain exposure to basic ad hoc and run work projects.

What You'll Bring To The Company:

College degree with significant course work in a quantitative field such as math, statistics; or actuarial science experience is required. Working experience with personal computers and knowledge of spreadsheets and other applications required. One year experience of relevant work experience strongly preferred.
