Actuarial Associate (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Morristown, NJ (Hybrid) or Fully Remote)

Where you'll work:
Our hybrid workplace model offers the freedom to work fully remote or occasionally in one of our offices. This is a remote position with a hybrid option for candidates based in Charlotte, NC or Morristown, NJ.

How you'll contribute:
As an Actuarial Associate on the Pricing team, you'll be responsible for assisting in rate setting, new business reporting, modeling, and analysis of current and future products. Additionally, this role provides exposure to and interactions with other areas across the Company including Investments, Inforce Management, and Product Development.

In this role, you'll get to:• Perform periodic rate setting of new business to achieve profitability targets• Monitor product profitability metrics based on actual sales and effectively communicate results• Assist in varied aspects of modeling including building, updating, running, and validating

We're looking for people who have: • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or similarly technical field• Completed 4+ preliminary exams for the Society of Actuaries• Exposure to actuarial modeling software such as Aon PathWise, FIS Prophet, or GGY-Axis• Programming skills with experience in Python, R, VBA, C++, or similar languages• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate effectively to a non-technical audience
