GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Actuarial Associate II, Inforce Management is responsible for analyzing, summarizing, and reporting various types of complex financial information in support of the Company's Product function. The incumbent works with other departments under the direction of a more experienced actuary to prepare management reports, assist with policy calculations and other related work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies principles of finance and mathematics in providing analytical support.
- Provides calculation support of policy administration, values and benefits.
- Requests and tests system changes assisting with IT projects.
- Creates and maintains manual policy calculations/illustrations.
- Completes experience studies to support pricing and inforce management.
- Contributes to department-wide process improvement efforts, including training product team on company process improvement program tools and methodologies, identifying inefficiencies and developing and prioritizing corrective actions.
- Performs other related work as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, or related field of study; plus a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible related actuarial experience, or equivalent combination of education/and experience;
- At least three actuarial exams completed;
- Experience with MS Excel / Word / PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools (R, Python, Tableau.SQL) a plus.

- Proficient in the use of SQL and Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel and Access.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions on practical problems that deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to successfully handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability and willingness to adjust to changing priorities in a fast paced working environment.
- Minimal to no travel is required in this position.
