Actuarial Associate, Inforce Management

Job Summary

The Actuarial Associate supports the Annuity rate setting and profitability analysis for the inforce management team.  This position completes actuarial work for the risk analysis and on-going new business and inforce rate analysis.  The position is part of the actuarial rotation program.

Organization

This position reports to the Actuary, Inforce Management and has no direct reports.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate pricing projections using GGY AXIS modeling software
• Develop, update, and validate pricing models
• Create and maintain process documentation
• Complete product sensitivities and analysis
• Support creation of presentation materials and visuals
• Assist in developing answers to business questions through data

Experience and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related technical field
• 5+ actuarial exam requirements passed preferred (near ASA), with an interest in pursuing FSA
• 1+ years’ experience preferred
• Strong technical, analytical, organizational, computer, and team skills
• Fixed indexed annuity or Indexed Universal Life knowledge preferred but not required
• Exposure to GGY AXIS or similar actuarial modeling system preferred

• Must be extremely detail oriented, analytical and be able to handle multiple projects
• Team player who has the ability to function as a key member of a small group
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
