This role could be hybrid or remote based on proximity to an office location.

Ameritas is seeking anActuarial Internto drive the business by supporting the actuarial function and staff by performing actuarial analyses and calculations, preparing reports and participating in actuarial projects.

This internship would begin in May 2024.

What you do:

• Gather and prepare data for analysis
• Participate in programming, preparation and interpretation of actuarial reports
• Participate in projects involving product development, product management, financial reporting and/or reinsurance
• Develop new ideas that improve the department's performance
• Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities

What you bring:

• Prefer the ability to fulfill an 18-24 month internship as a student
• Willingness to participate in an annual rotational program between the different Actuarial departments
• Student actively pursuing an Actuarial degree program
• Completed or enrolled in Interest Theory (or equivalent) OR passed 1 Society of Actuaries exam
• Computer skills including familiarity with Excel and Word
• Strong mathematical skills essential
• Starting with the second (sophomore) school year, a student must take at least one Actuarial exam each academic year.
