Job Summary:
The Reinsurance Actuarial Pricing department of Everest Global Services, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Actuary to join our Warren, Stamford or NYC office. This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office, 2 remote.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Price reinsurance treaties and liaise with underwriting in support of our Treaty Casualty book of business including traditional Casualty long tail lines, Professional lines, Cyber, Surety and Mortgage and potential support for other reinsurance teams
- Peer review pricing and mentor other more junior members of the team
- Perform trend studies and line of business studies and present results to senior management
- Participate in client visits, broker meetings, and marketing events as requested by the underwriters
- Work with management to produce presentations and reports to meet management, board, and strategy reporting needs
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- ACAS/FCAS or near ACAS/FCAS
- Years of experience: 5+ in P&C actuarial pricing - reinsurance pricing or commercial lines/large account pricing preferred
- Emphasis on long-tail liability lines a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, and excellent communications skills
- Able to work in dynamic and agile environment, especially through hybrid setting
- Technical know-how including Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, etc. a plus.
For NYC Only:The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
