You will be empowered to act autonomously and leverage your expertise to affect change. You’re expected to be a trusted partner to the GL insurance product managers and make sound business recommendations to leadership backed by impactful analyses. You will take a hands-on approach on the day to day and have a firm pulse on the status and trajectory of the line. You will take an active role in the decision making process at Next and in shaping the growth and profitability of the line.


What You’ll Do:

  • Be the #1 subject matter expert at Next related to the pricing of the general liability product
  • Build and enhance actuarial methodologies around loss ratio forecast, rate indications, insurance analytics, and P&L management
  • Partner with Insurance Product Managers to drive future product developments
  • Build predictive models in Akur8, perform impact analyses, and support product filings
  • Perform competitor and market research
  • Partner with data science and data engineering to enable future-proof data architecture 
  • Deliver actuarially sound recommendations to senior management
  • Provide ad hoc support to other business partners, including but not limited to reinsurance, finance, distribution, claims, and growth teams. 
  • Meet evolving business needs

 

What we Need:

  • ACAS mandatory, FCAS preferred 
  • 6+ years of actuarial experience; commercial insurance and product management experience preferred

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location(s) listed. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. NEXT employees are eligible to participate in our equity incentive program and will also receive our benefits package, consisting of our partially subsidized medical plan, fully subsidized vision/dental options, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), flexible paid time off, parental leave and more.

US annual base salary range for this full-time position:

$145,000—$205,000 USD
