JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Adcraft Detroit Marketing Coordinator will serve in a supportive role to help maintain the 116-year legacy of excellence. This position will support the Executive Director and Events Manager to help guide Adcraft’s events (over 50/ year), social media marketing and member relations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Adcraft social media profiles across various channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and potential new channels (TikTok, Snapchat, etc.): Create engaging content, maintain messaging, promote upcoming events, provide highlights and communication of past events, photo uploads, and hash tags.
- Developing content for all social channels includes writing engaging copy and creating visual assets for all Adcraft needs (including but not limited to event promotions, i.e. Adcraft’s annual birthday post, announcement of new board members, throwback Thursday’s etc.)
- Support pre- and post- event promotion, membership recruitment, sponsor opportunities, and general messaging strategy and tactics via social media outlets
- Attend and provide support to Adcraft Event Manager as needed: attending events throughout the year, securing volunteers, and on-site responsibilities including guest registration/check-in/ engaging the crowd and live social posting during the event
- Assist in managing the membership database of 2,200+ contacts
- Process membership applications, renewals, and fees
- Complete general tasks as assigned by the Executive Director
Skills / Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Exhibits high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of and experience with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media platforms best practices (experience serving as an Admin or Owner of a page is a plus)
- Strong people and problem-solving skills
- Creativity and knowledge on creative platforms/ solutions
- Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- A demonstrated proficiency with either PC or MAC operating systems
Additional Information:
- This is a part-time role, up to 20hrs/ week.
- Hours of work are flexible unless there is a specific event scheduled. This support role may require more than 20 hours/week, specifically leading up to and day-of an in-person event, but willing to work with the candidate on availability.
- Hybrid role (remote and office)
- 1-year commitment please with exposure to key leadership across the Detroit Marketing community
- Rate of pay is $18/hour
