Job Description
Foth is currently seeking a motivated and results-oriented Administrative Assistant for our Des Moines, IA location. Our Des Moines office consists of a team of 55+ professional members that enjoy working in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support a variety of daily tasks and project work and will be provided opportunities for growth and development.Â
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare documents, presentations, reports, memos, letters, spreadsheets, etc. while maintaining Foth’s company standards.
- Support project teams with plan preparation, bid support, and distribution management.
- Greet visitors upon arrival while ensuring security procedures and protocols are followed for onsite visitors and vendors entering the building.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and support daily administrative requirements for the Infrastructure Solutions Business Unit Leader and the office.
- Communicate professionally and effectively through various forms of written correspondence (i.e., letter, email, memorandum) across all levels within organization.
- Maintain office and project files and filing systems.
- Collaborate with office staff on special projects.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with others.
- Plan activities, events, projects, and other business-related functions.
- Assist in preparation for industry and trade conferences, as requested.
- Administer new member activities including on-boarding, and integration.
- Support mailroom/shipping. May include processing incoming and outgoing mail, delivering mail, and preparing packages for shipping.
- High degree of initiative and ownership of work product.
- Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Manage multiple projects effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional office administrative role
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; accurate data entry and strong proofreading skills
- Minimum 3 years of customer service experienceÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business administration or similar field
