Purpose: Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for various HR-related tasks to ensure that administrative requirements are met and the department operates effectively complying with state and federal laws.
Job Description:
- Set up, maintain, and process personnel files.
- Audited personnel files at least quarterly for compliance.
- Follow up with expiring credentials.
- Ensure databases are updated for both active and terminated files.
- Process and maintain I-9 forms
- Prepare evaluations for managers
- Assist with preparing for in-service trainings.
- Filing and Answer phones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or related fields preferred
- Two (2) year’s experience working in Human Resources, within health care preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under stress
- Strong attention to detail required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required; knowledge of HRIS a plus
