Job Summary:

Here at Breckpoint, we have a one-of-a-kind program that allows any size employer to self-insure their health benefits. For over 15 years the Breckpoint team has specialized in consulting, forming, and managing alternative risk programs spanning self-insured groups, captives, and traditional self-funding arrangements. Our expertise extends to employer benefits, with over $30M in premium within our major medical program. Leveraging diverse strategies, we maximize the benefit of self-funding while integrating sustainable cost containment solutions. Currently we seek an Administrative Assistant to contribute to the maintenance and expansion of our program.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Medical Stop Loss department

  • Manage monthly reporting requirements to management and executive teams

  • Prepare and maintain tracking of policies, amendments, and financial reporting

  • Assist with data entry, processing, and invoice tracking

  • Maintain and update spreadsheets with financial and correspondence tracking

  • Support the Medical Stop Loss team with workflow and correspondence tasks

  • Assist with broker or partner inquiries

  • Assist with licensing and compliance documentation

Skills

  • Must be detail oriented, well organized and have the ability to manage a high-volume workload with competing demands.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically in Excel.

  • Professional phone and writing skills with experience in customer-facing positions.

  • Strong math, communication, and critical thinking skills required

  • Demonstrates independent decision making while recognizing and accounting for anticipated consequences.

  • Openness to new ways of thinking and acquiring new skills to retain a competitive advantage.

  • Documenting/recording information such as entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.

  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset.

Education

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum of 2 years in administrative assistant role

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours per week.
