This position is responsible for providing a broad spectrum of support to the tax department in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment. How You’ll Spend Your Time: 

• Process, assemble and delivery of tax returns, extensions, and estimates
• E-File tax returns, monitor e-File statuses, track and communicate any rejections or exceptions with tax professional staff
• Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods
• Scanning and/or download of client documents via firm software
• Work independently and collaboratively to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of workflows to meet deadlines
• Be a positive team player for the tax administrative team and tax department

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, or related field
• Experience in tax administrative support work, office practices and administrative procedures
• Tech savvy with the ability and desire to embrace necessary software applications
• Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a sense of calm and humor
• Superior organizational, multi-tasking and follow-through skills with strong attention given to details and deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with all Microsoft applications
• Open to constructive feedback and on-going self-improvement

 Experience with the following software programs a plus:

• XCM
• GoSystems
• SurePrep/TaxCaddy
• Box
• Microsoft 365
• SafeSend

The compensation for this position ranges from $40,000 – $95,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
