Administrative Assistant, Physical Production

SUMMARY:

Sony Pictures Animation is looking for an experienced, highly organized, proactive, and collaborative professional to function as an executive assistant. This person will support the Senior Vice President of Production and Operating Strategy at Sony Pictures Animation.

Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. We pride ourselves on empowering filmmakers to lead the creative process, and allowing the hand of the artist to be truly felt, with the goal of producing bold and innovative visual storytelling.

 Responsibilities:

• Be a part of team with executive, focusing on physical and series animation production.
• Coordinate calendar and meetings for a very busy executive.
• Attend meetings, take notes and follow ups as needed.
• Handle competing priorities and complex tasks without direction.
• Assist in the development of documents and schedules using G-Suite, MS Office, and other tools.
• Appetite for learning new tools and workflows in animation production.
• Act as liaison between multiple companies, departments, both internally and externally.
• Assist with executive’s expense reports.
• Make / change complex travel arrangements, often with little advance notice.
• Organize special meetings, coordinate meeting room schedules, and assist with special events.
• Handle other duties as needed.

 Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in an executive assistant role, preferably in an artistic environment.
• Previous animation office or production experience.
• A friendly, helpful, and positive disposition with a sense of humor.
• Able to act with discretion when handling confidential matters.
• BA or BS degree, or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and the Google environment (mail, docs, sheets…etc).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail, as well as an ability to see the big picture.
• A passion and curiosity about games, movies, entertainment and animation production.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $26/hour - $34/hour. This role qualifies for benefits pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors.
