We are seeking an Administrative Associate focusing on HR and finance tasks to support our high-impact, civic tech initiatives within the federal government.

To be considered, applicants must reside in the Washington, DC area and be available to work on a hybrid schedule from Silver Spring, MD.

Responsibilities

  • HR Responsibilities
    • Assist with recruitment processes including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
    • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
    • Assist with approval and maintenance of internal timekeeping software.
    • Assist with review and goal-setting cycle administration.
    • Support the HR team in organizing company events and training sessions.
  • Finance Responsibilities
    • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
    • Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
    • Maintain financial records and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
    • Assist in preparing financial reports, journal entries, and budgets.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and assist in audit processes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in administrative roles with a focus on HR and finance tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or a related field.
  • Experience with HR software (e.g., Gusto, ADP, Workday).
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Experience in a technology consulting environment.
  • Knowledge of federal contracting processes.

Salary Information

We are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $50k to $75k annually. Please note that this range is intended to provide a general idea of what to expect. The final offer may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors.
