The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services.
Administrator I - AMC MTO
Perform a wide variety of operational administrative duties that support the Aerospace Manufacturing Center (AMC) Manufacturing and Test Operations (MTO) group. The primary focus will be procurement duties in support of manufacturing operations and annual Capital projects. A secondary focus will be providing back-up traditional administrative support for a highly motivated and fun operational team.
What You'll Do:
  • Purchase expensed acquisition items in support of Manufacturing and Development Value Streams and AMC support shops.
  • Submit Purchase Requisitions utilizing the company MRP system in support of multiple Capital Projects for the AMC facility.
  • Pay invoices, track expenditures or accounts receivable, post expenses to ledgers, balance accounts and records, etc.
  • Perform a combination of administrative tasks related to purchasing support that meet Company policy and compliance requirements.
  • Be trained in Ball Aerospace developed enterprise applications related to core job responsibilities
  • May prepare statistical reports; gather and interpret data; maintain databases, records, spreadsheets; update and track budgets; prepare various schedules; perform data entry, etc.
  • May assist in budgeting process for multiple operational and functional budgets
  • May gather, interpret, and analyze data for departmental or enterprise level needs.
  • May assist or support projects in various functional areas as assigned.
  • Provide back-up general administrative support for a large, operational team
  • May prepare and submit system move requests (MAC's) for personnel, voice, data, and furniture moves.
  • May participate in the hiring process by coordinating interviews for hiring managers
  • May participate in the annual Strategy Deployment process
  • May assist in team catering activities
  • May participate in mass e-mail communication / notifications
  • Represent organization working within parameters of administrative policies and procedures.
  • Assist on projects in various functional areas as assigned.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:
  • BS/BA degree in related field
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Flexible On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three or more days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $50,000 - $67,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
