The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services.
Administrator I - People and Culture Champion
What You'll Do:
- Partner with Director of ITS Business Solutions and Project Execution to manage all people and culture related functions in the ITS organization.
- Act as primary interface between ITS and Talent Acquisition for ITS including:
- Maintaining the ITS staffing spreadsheet in alignment with the stated headcount goals, and Talent Acquisition records
- Manage the staffing approval process, ensuring approvals are aligned throughout the process working closely with ITS leadership, TA and FP&A
- Provide quarterly staffing numbers to OPS, Monthly staffing numbers to ITS
- Coordinate recruitment efforts with Talent Acquisition and ITS Extended Leadership as well as administrative team.
- Manage contractor/ANE process for on/off-boarding and renewals
- Manage the maintenance of ITS Organization Charts (current, functional, proposed).
- Provide people-related metrics for use in Town Hall, All Hands, etc. functions across ITS and OPS.
- Track ITS Spot Bonus budget.
- Track employee training (registration, payment, budget, certificates).
- Track service anniversaries.
- Maintain and publish quarterly updates to the Certifications in Lieu of Experience for ITS.
- Participate as the primary ITS member of the Operations Training team including both onboarding/offboarding and educational requirements as well as publishing a standardized checklist for ITS staff and managers to leverage in these discussions.
- Coordinate ITS Workforce Planning Teams on Recruitment and Retention, acting as leader of the ITS People and Culture Workforce Planning Team.
- Lead bi-weekly ITS Staffing Summit.
- Coordinate Extended Leadership team efforts to align staffing needs and current team set up, including forecasting growth, and ensuring goals, reviews, stay interviews occur according to plan.
- Create and maintain People-related SharePoint/Teams structure to manage records.
- Act as a champion and key motivator in the organization around people and culture.
- Work with highly confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
- Learn and become proficient in Ball enterprise systems and procedures.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You'll Need:
- BS/BA in a related field.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Ability to communicate clearly at a variety of levels across the enterprise.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including SharePoint and Teams.
Flexible On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three or more days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
A current DoD clearance and/or SCI access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position, however applicant must be willing and eligible for submission within 60-90 days after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access. Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $50,000 - $67,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
