Position Description:

We are looking for a Adobe Commerce Architect for a strategic client account in the Washington DC Metro. As an Adobe Commerce Architect, you will be a key player in shaping and optimizing our e-commerce infrastructure on the Adobe Commerce platform. Leveraging your expertise, you will drive the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance e-commerce solutions. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring our digital commerce experiences meet and exceed customer expectations.

This position is located in the Washington DC Metro area and requires regular presence onsite and at CGI's US headquarters offices in Fairfax, Virginia (including hybrid/virtual participation, as appropriate) and at the client site up to three days per week in Alexandria, Virginia.

Your future duties and responsibilities:• Lead the architectural design and implementation of Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento) solutions to support our e-commerce initiatives.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with industry best practices and Adobe Commerce capabilities.• Ensure seamless data flow between e-commerce and ERP systems, optimizing for real-time synchronization of orders, inventory, and customer data.• Implement and optimize integrations with payment gateways, shipping providers, and other e-commerce ecosystem components.• Configures and customizes Adobe Commerce Solutions and Integrations for B2C and B2B• Educates internal and external audiences of Adobe Commerce best practices.• Partners with client on strategic roadmap with Adobe and Commerce as a headless implementation.• Conducts business process mapping and requirements gathering sessions with clients.• Optimize the performance and scalability of the Adobe Commerce platform, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring a smooth and responsive online shopping experience.• Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard customer data, payment information, and sensitive e-commerce transactions.• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, staying abreast of security trends and proactively addressing potential vulnerabilities.• Collaborate with development teams, UX/UI designers, business analysts, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of e-commerce projects.• Helps service delivery teams to ensure the agreed-upon targets and standards are met.• Identifies and recommends opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiencies for clients.• Effectively and proactively communicates risks to management and assists with the development of viable solutions to mitigate risk.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• Proven experience as an E-commerce Architect with 5+ years with a focus on Adobe Commerce (Magento).• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Commerce platform capabilities, including customization, extension development, and module integration.• Solid understanding of NetSuite ERP functionalities, particularly in the context of e-commerce.• Strong expertise in designing and implementing integrations using MuleSoft, with a focus on connecting Adobe Commerce and NetSuite ERP.• Ability to lead functional and technical workshops including documenting requirements and use cases.• Proficiency in PHP, with experience in customizing and extending Adobe Commerce.• Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, including payment processing, shipping logistics, and order fulfillment.• Experience working in a global business environment.• Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.• Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $119,500.00 - $209,100.00.
