PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Troy 7, Inc. is seeking an amazingly talented Advanced Air and Missile Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will get to support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Joint Analysis Team (JAT). You will serve as a system engineering interface to external teams. The system assessment team supports engineering specialists in the assessment of capabilities and limitations of the Missile Defense System (MDS) to enable well informed decisions. As the Advanced Air and Missile Engineer, you will work closely with Missile Defense Systems Elements engineering staff, other functional groups, and data analysts to deliver high quality and accurate information to facilitate decisions by the highest level of MDA leadership and Geographical Commanders. The candidate will also ensure system under test is correctly characterized, capabilities and limitations accurately documented, and understood.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop plans and requirements to support testing and assessments of glide phase intercept and hypersonic missile development
- Assess technical performance for flight and ground test analysis
- Provide recommendations on the additions and improvements of the Missile Defense Systems
- Support the Joint Analysis Team (JAT) and serve as system engineering interface to external teams
- Contributes to and may lead the planning and implementation of large programs in the function, and regularly interfaces with senior management and executive leadership
- Plays a role in overall functional strategic planning

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in STEM with 12+ years of experience
- Active Secret Clearance
- Ability to plan and to execute required support, develop clear and concise written products, and present MDS technical matters to MDA senior leaders and MDA warfighter working group meetings in support of MDA/System Assessment
- Applicable experience could include: Ballistic Missile Defense, Missile Defense System, Integrated Air and Missile Defense, Ground-based Midcourse Defense, Homeland Defense, THAAD, AEGIS BMD, C2BMC, Hypersonic Missile Defense, System-level Engineering Analysis, Architecture Assessment, Threat Analysis, or International Engineering
- Analysis experience or requirements and architecture in aspect of missile defense systems such as Aegis weapon systems, Ground Based Midcourse (GMD), MDS sensors (EO/IR? RF), kill vehicle, interceptors, hypersonic vehicles, countermeasures, or threats.
- Experience with missiles interceptors, hypersonic/RF/Radar Sensors, detection/tracking, hypersonic vehicles
- Experience in requirements development and development of verification objectives
- Demonstrate understanding of system architecture
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
- Familiarity with the MDS and MDS Architecture
- Familiarity with Air and Missile Defense concepts and/or experience with MDA Ground Test Data
- Basic understanding of sensors management (Radar and Space)
- Experience working with various analyst to garner relevant data
- Working knowledge of Glide Phase Intercept and/or Hypersonic functionality
- Working knowledge of MATLAB, python
