Advanced Analytics Architect

Job Description:

[MULTIPLE POSITIONS]: Avanade Inc. is seeking Advanced Analytics Architects in San Diego, CA to build solutions using Azure data science and machine learning stack focusing on AI & IoT use cases. You will perform the following duties: facilitate pre-sales and machine learning skills for Avanade regions; help clients understand and extract value from their data using analytical tools and techniques; build analytics solutions and ensure long-term technical viability of new deployments; apply advanced statistical, data mining, and machine-learning techniques; apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, time series modeling, programming, data modeling, simulation, deep learning, Natural Language Processing and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and enable better business decision making; use big data analytics to extract value from large data sets using Databricks and Apache Spark; design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms; communicate data-driven insights and deliver action plans to steer business strategy and decision-making for business segments; provide guidance on data visualization techniques and opportunities; and work with deal teams to provide subject matter expertise and solutioning support for client proposals and RFPs. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic and international) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must live within reasonable commuting distance of San Diego, CA. Offered Salary: $148,200.00 per year.

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a master's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field and at least one (1) year of experience as an Advanced Analytics Architect, or in a similar data science role. **Alternatively, the employer will accept a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field and at least three (3) years of experience as an Advanced Analytics Architect, or a similar data science role. A qualified applicant's experience must include: 3 years of experience using Data & AI tools and technologies such as Apache Spark, Python, Azure ML, Power BI, and SQL; 3 years of experience reading/writing data and performing integration within Azure Databricks or Azure HDInsight; 3 years of

experience applying Big Data components such as Kafka, Spark SQL, Data frames, HIVE DB, Natural Language Processing etc. and their implementation using Azure Databricks or Azure HDInsight; 3 years of experience using Python, R, Spark, SharePoint, PowerPivot, Power BI, and Excel - including pivot tables and macros; 3 years of experience working with global and offshore teams; 3 years of experience collecting non-technical requirements from clients and solutioning and presenting to clients; 3 years of experience partnering with cross-functional technology teams to integrate solutions and requirements solution strategies; 3 years of experience developing and delivering Data & AI solutions using Azure; and 3 years of experience communicating data-driven insights and delivering business strategy implementation plans.
