Honeywell's Sensing, Guidance & Navigation (SG&N) organization has decades of experience producing high-performance inertial and satellite-based navigation systems, flight guidance, inertial measurement (IMU) and sensor products across commercial, defense, autonomous vehicles, industrial & Space applications.

This is an exciting time to join the Sensing, Guidance and Navigation (SG&N) - Center of Excellence engineering team as we develop new inertial sensing products used on many versatile platforms varying from aircrafts, trains, automotive to space applications, satellites and launch vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

You will execute engineering tasks as part of cross-functional teams on New Product Development programs responsible for concept architecture, requirements, design, layout review, analysis, and test. In this role, you will focus on design, analysis and test of inertial sensor products over a wide range of operational environments for Commercial, Defense and Space customers.

  • Execute Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design anddevelopment project tasks (architecture and planning, requirement definition, analog/digital/power-conversioncircuit design, analysis, Printed Board (PB) layout review, and verification/test,etc.) by following established engineering methodologies for new hardwaredevelopment.
  • Guide engineers, technicians and associates to ensureproject and product requirement compliance.
  • Apply advanced hardware engineering methodologies and tools for new and existing concepts
  • Identify opportunities, enhancements and propose technical improvements
  • Clearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages via presentations and in writing to a variety of technical audiences including leadership and external customers.
  • Identify and execute cost, schedule, and technicalefficiency improvements.

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 4+ years' Electrical Hardware Engineering experience
  • US Citizenship (No Dual Citizenship) due to contractual requirements.
WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Lab experience testing and debugging complex electronic circuits
  • Demonstrated experience working with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and logic analyzersto characterize and solve problems in electronics circuit card assemblies.
  • Experiencedesigning with modern processing technologies and architectures includingmicro-processors, FPGAs, and ASICs; DDR and flash memories; high speed physicaland wireless communication and interconnects; and interfaces to sensors andguidance electronics.
  • Experience in the following is beneficial:

    • Proficiencywith Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise Design Suite, HyperLynx analysis(Signal and Power Integrity), Timing Analysis, Decoupling Analysis, andLTSpice.
    • Aptitude for low noise analog and sensor interface design and analysis, signalprocessing and conversion.
    • SPICE simulation experience including parametric modification andvalidation including Monte Carlo technique.
    • Ability togenerate PB layout constraint guidelines, oversee the layout and fabrication ofthe design.
    • Experienceensuring designs meet the industry standards of DO-254 for Avionics HardwareDevelopment and Certification.
  • Abilityto work with cross-functional teams to meet expectations of internal andexternal customers.
