What Will be Your Purpose?

The Advanced IT Business Systems Analysts on the Contact & Enabling Incident Management Team supports contact and enabling business partners by collecting and analyzing information needed to formulate the scope and objectives of technology solutions that support the business needs. The Advanced IT Business Systems Analyst also manage the end-to-end resolution of production defects with the appropriate application teams. Advanced IT Business Systems Analysts lead efforts, oversee work results, provide training, and serve as a mentor for other IT Business Systems Analysts. The Advanced IT Business Systems Analyst helps client areas achieve their objectives by serving as a resource in the analysis of business and user needs, application of technology solutions. Provides consultation to define and achieve objectives, identify risk, and implement technology solutions. Conducts feasibility studies, prepares user stories/business requirements, and writes system and programming specifications to support the design of possible technology solutions. Supports user acceptance testing, documentation/reporting, and production support. The Advanced IT Business Systems Analyst possesses extensive knowledge of assigned business area(s) operations and a strong knowledge of the IT systems/applications used. May participate on an agile development team.

What You'll be Doing?

• Collecting and analyzing information needed to formulate the scope and objectives of technology solutions that support the business needs.
• Provides oversight as well as serves as the functional and technical lead during development, implementation, and testing of highly complex projects.
• Drives business architecture design (including Business Process), capability roadmap development and IT strategy development for the domain.
• Responsible for writing business and technical requirements to gather and determine technical impacts.
• Reviews and clarifies user stories and user acceptance criteria with the stakeholders and works with development lead/technical architect to layout technical design.
• Leads the development of system related documentation that includes flow charts, workflow tables, mapping documents, integration specifications and provides system training
• Develops an extensive understanding of the business unit's function and effectively communicates technical issues and solutions in non-technical terms to the business unit
• Produces detailed functional requirements and/or user stories, including non-functional requirements
• Monitors system implementation ensuring user satisfaction and be comfortable with being hands on in support of implemented solutions. - Operational readiness, Implementation/Warranty Support, Production support, Project analytics and reporting.

What You Must Have?

• Required Work Experience: 4+ years related work experience in application development and/or systems analysis role.
• Required Education: Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field.

• Experience with business requirements and IT business process analysis to ensure IT solutions meet the business needs.
• Excellent communication skills including ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to audiences with diverse knowledge base.
• Thorough knowledge of Information Technology fields and computer systems.
• Strong understanding of integration points of assigned business/systems and processes.
• Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
• Proficient in requirements gathering methodologies and the SDLC.
• High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and IT strategy to resolve production issues.

What is Preferred?

• Experience using Contact & Enabling Applications including but not limited to Customer Connect, Enterprise Work Center (EWOC), MAAGC, NICE, CCM / INSPIRE, P360, IVR, Smart IVR, PPX, FORCE, K360, PeopleSoft, et.
• Strong understanding of the business processes of various domains, including but not limited to Contact, Sales, Claims, Finance, Enrollment & Billing, Network Care Management, Shared Services.
• Ability to write simple to complex SQL Queries.
• Continuous improvement certification.
• Experience using Agile and/or Waterfall methodology
• BlueCross BlueShield organization experience.

General Physical Demands:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
