GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Propose technology concepts that lead to higher efficiencies, improved reliability of HVAC systems, and customer comfort.
• Develop algorithms that utilize data from fielded and lab HVAC systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and/or comfort.
• Leverage fundamental understanding of concepts in thermodynamics and heat transfer to develop high-efficiency cold-climate heat pumps to decarbonize HVAC.
• Perform simulations, conduct experiments, and analyze test results to develop products for application in the residential, commercial, and refrigeration segments.
• Analyze and translate experimental test data to improve simulation models.
• Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or the major phases of significant projects.
• Supervise & coordinate the work of technicians and lower-level employees.
• Mature technologies to readiness for transfer into the New Product Development Cycle for Lennox.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Masters or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or related discipline with a focus on heat transfer and fluids.
• Demonstrated experience in the development of cutting-edge HVAC systems, including analysis, system design, and performance validation.
• Detailed understanding of Two-Phase Flow Heat transfer and pressure drop.
• Experience with programming languages such as C and Python is preferred.
• Working knowledge of CFD and/or FEA tools is preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC systems is preferred.
• Data analysis tools such as MSSQL, MATLAB, Python, Tableau, Qlik and MS Excel.
