Job Description

The Advertising Coordinator's primary responsibility is the entry of advertising notices to appear in the San Antonio Express-News products. Duties will include entering ads into the advertising system, responding to client emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Coordinating with the finance team for client required documents including notarized affidavits. This position is part of a team and will be cross-trained with other team members with similar roles and responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow process to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Provide proofs and quotes in a timely manner.
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize daily workflow.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all levels to both inside and outside the customers.
  • Providing required client documents upon requests.
  • Working with finance team on client questions.
  • Be available to receiver phone calls during assigned time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies/Critical Skills:

  • Strong organization skills.
  • High proficiency in the use of personal computer, with experience using Microsoft products - Word, Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple client requests
  • Knowledge of advertising media and advertising rates
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals
  • Ability to use research material

  • Ability to work in an ever-changing media environment and deliver a product with minimal errors.
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements, Education:

  • High School Degree or GED
  • 3 Years of Office Experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
