Advertising Page Designer/Magazine Producer

Summary:
Support the Prairie Mountain Media Advertising/Marketing teams via the production of advertising magazines and promotional campaigns.
What you will do:

• Produce high quality, active, appealing magazines for print and digital includes content plans, editing, page design and section layout and working with freelance writers
• Post advertising special section content to the Web
• Set and maintain standards for quality of publications, including content, design, packaging and production flow
• Participate in advertising kick-offs and sales presentations as it relates to advertising special section/feature launches
• Design campaigns/ads as needed to promote reader and sales promotions
• Maintain open channels of communication with all departments
• Maintain high quality, appealing filler supply for print products
• Support advertising with the production of client products (i.e. Realtor guides, tax guides, chamber directories)
• Maintain a working knowledge of new trends in advertising/marketing, applying those to the daily operation

What you will bring:

• Proven skills in graphic design, copywriting, copyediting and publication layout a must. Photography skills are a plus
• Knowledge of AP Style
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite software including InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Google Workspace
• Knowledge of the commercial and newspaper printing process preferred
• Ability to manage time and projects and make smart decisions with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well with others, including external and internal customers
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
• Formal training in graphic design and copywriting required
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications preferred
• Minimum two to three years in an advertising, marketing, publishing or communications industry in the capacities outlined above preferred but not necessary

The hourly wage is $18.32- $19.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition program, and 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
