The Advertising Specialist's responsibilities include coordinating advertising and other paid media campaigns for OverDrive in target markets, including third-party publications and websites and OverDrive's Marketplace online catalog for partners. This role provides media planning, buying and strategy, and manages budgeting / reporting in addition to providing excellent customer service for internal stakeholders and outside vendors. This role is the lead ad server administrator and oversees merchandising efforts on internal websites using tools such as AdButler.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate new and ongoing advertising (Paid Media) campaigns (online, print) including planning, negotiating, placement, and tracking results.
- Work with internal stakeholders in variety of business units and markets to understand and develop media buying strategy to accomplish business goals.
- Work with Business Systems & Analytics team to ensure paid media is appropriately tracked using Google Analytics / UTM codes. Work with vendors to ensure tracking and reporting is also provided.
- Analyze and present campaign results to key stakeholders which highlight successes, shortcomings (i.e., opportunities) and recommended future activities.
- Work with internal stakeholders to plan and execute OverDrive "ad network" processes including inventory availability, securing / reviewing / approving creative submissions, reporting and testing / troubleshooting to meet technical specifications and site quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 - 7+ years' related experience in Advertising or Paid Media coordination (client or agency).
- Strong knowledge of print and digital advertising techniques.
- Strong knowledge of digital advertising on Social Media ad platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Deep experience with data and reporting utilizing Google Analytics and UTM codes.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities; able to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to prepare presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with JavaScript / HTML, Flash and rich media.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Experience with AdServing technology such as AdButler, DFP, DART Enterprise or DART for Publishers, RealMedia, OAS, etc. preferred, but not required.
