The Advertising Operations (Ad Ops) team is part of Merchant Network Operations which serves as the direct support function within the Merchant Network, bridging the gap between sales, success, strategy, data, execution, tools, and automation. We are looking for an experienced manager to be a key player in Grubhub's new Advertising Operations (Ad Ops) team. You will be responsible for executing the GTM strategies, testing and managing the rollout of new advertising product features, building and providing actionable insight, managing KPI performance, and managing the process flows and optimizations. All of those responsibilities working together to foster strong incremental revenue growth for both Grubhub and restaurant partners. Additionally, you will be identifying key opportunities, providing support to internal sales and success teams, process improvement and SOP creation, and being a collaborator with external advertising partners. You will also be a key stakeholder in developing long term strategies and growth models to maximize the revenue potential of this new line of business. This role reports into the Director of Advertising Operations.
The Impact You Will Make
- Manage the day to day metrics for the Advertising Operations line of business and report results on weekly, monthly and quarterly cadences. Build streamlined reporting tools for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop data driven strategies in identifying and prioritizing key markets, merchant types, etc. for lead generation, etc.
- Analyze trends and solve underlying issues within the business. You'll be responsible for solving problems; diagnosing issues in a data-driven manner, identifying the root cause and implementing solutions
- Create, update, and manage Advertising Operations SOPs and process documentation. With a focus on continuous improvement and effectiveness
- Effectively communicate key learnings of the business to provide recommendations cross functionally with product, engineering and Restaurant Network Leaders to ensure that we're pacing ahead of targets
- Build strong relationships across Grubhub teams - collaboration is key as we move fast and need to work together to get things done
- Collaborate closely with various internal teams, including product development, engineering, marketing, and analytics, to align advertising initiatives with broader company goals
- Drive cross-functional projects to improve overall advertising operations
- Build and manage a team of associates that execute on the team's strategy.
What You Bring To The Table
- 6-8 years of relevant work experience in revenue operations, consulting, business development, advertising sales, advertising management, or related fields is required
- You think like a business owner, determined at every level to get the hard work done
- 3+ yrs. of management / team leadership experience with the ability to develop team dynamic, identify talent, and foster growth
- Strong ability to influence across all levels of the organization (both internal and external) with a proven track record of taking ideas from inception through launch
- Superior flexibility and ability to navigate (and help others succeed in) an ever-changing environment with moving business targets
- Advanced level understanding in operational metrics, process improvement, and data analysis in Excel, SQL, and Tableau. Salesforce experience is a plus
- High endurance, high integrity, and sky-high expectations for self and others
- Experience working w/ technical systems to help drive a best-in-class technology platform
- Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree in related field or MBA preferred

New York Salary Range: $92,500-$115,500
The Base Pay component of our Total Rewards package is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: job responsibilities, location, experience and, education/certifications. In addition to the pay component, this role may be eligible for equity and benefits as part of the Total Rewards package. The Total Rewards package will be determined at the time a contingent offer is made. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
