What Internal Audit - Finance contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Internal Audit - Finance conducts financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations. This family evaluates and recommends improvements to business practices, processes and control procedures and manages Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and fraud investigations.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the design and operational effectiveness of IT General Controls and automated application controls within the SOX framework
• Evaluates and recommends improvements to business practices, processes and control procedures. 
• Provides expertise on policies & procedures development, technical guidance and external audit liaison work.
• Applies knowledge of auditing, SOX understanding and internal control concepts to evaluate complex IT business activities.
• Demonstrates knowledge of process flows, process documentation and internal control identification.
• Leverages project management skills to define audit testing plans, execute and document internal controls testing, and document testing results and related audit findings.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to interact with others in a constructive manner that builds trust.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of internal controls by analyzing control gaps and formulating potential remediation
• Provides guidance and training to less experienced colleagues

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in IT audit related field, preferred.
• Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $79,700-$113,800
