The Advisor Services Representative works in conjunction with Internal Sales Consultants to cultivate client relationships while building sales momentum in a defined division. They are responsible for handling incoming telephone inquiries from financial intermediaries who distribute AB's products; answering questions about fund performance, portfolio breakdowns/updates, and market conditions. Representatives are responsible for providing quality customer service and sales support via the telephone, electronic mail or fax. Representatives in this position should have a strong knowledge of financial markets, AB's solutions, policies and procedures, and available marketing materials. Additionally, representatives should be able to effectively probe for further investment opportunities from financial intermediaries.
Job Description
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Handling incoming calls from financial intermediaries who distribute AllianceBernstein's Mutual Fund, 529, SMA, and/or Retirement Plan products.
- Apply consultative needs based sales process to identify needs and opportunities to position AllianceBernstein solutions.
- In an effort to increase AllianceBernstein's total assets, representatives are relied upon to provide sales leads and schedule follow up calls for the Internal Sales Consultants.
- Providing marketing materials and/or information over-the-phone, via e-mail or fax, or by directing the customer to the appropriate location on AllianceBernstein's website.

Job Qualifications & Key Attributes
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task; including following simple instructions and procedures; basic math proficiency; and the ability to communicate with others on routine matters
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary, to wear a headset and to remain connected to the recorded lines for long periods of time. The employee is required to routinely talk, hear and enter data via a computer keyboard as well as read information from printed materials and/or from a computer monitor.
Candidate must be comfortable working independently while also collaborating as part of a team. Advisor Services Representatives are registered with Series 7 & 66 or 63 or become registered within six months of start date.
