Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The Advisory Initiatives Specialist assists the Sr. Product Manager in the development, management, and implementation of US Investment Advisor Group (IAG) strategic and tactical initiatives to support product strategy. The position will assist in identifying product opportunities and challenges, support the development and implementation of program enhancements and assists in the establishment of new programs while ensuring alignment with regulatory and legal requirements. Additionally, they will collaborate with various organizational groups and departments to provide the necessary advisory products and services and act as subject matter expert on various advisory projects and initiatives.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with Product Management to ensure existing programs and initiatives meet business, client and regulatory needs for the business channels utilizing advisory programs
- Assist in identifying product challenges, opportunities, and the implementation of streamlined and efficient processes
- Assist in the establishment of new programs, implementation of program enhancements, and training initiatives across all advisory programs
- Act as Product Owner of agile project team generally dedicated to risk management initiatives and operational oversight reporting
- Assist in the maintenance of client contracts and disclosures
- Develop and maintain cross program policies and procedures
- Work closely with legal, compliance and business risk to ensure programs, policies and procedures are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements
- Develop strong partnerships with various business partners and support teams to understand key opportunities and challenges within assigned projects and develop creative solutions
- Project management responsibilities for non-technology related projects
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- BA / BS in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years securities and financial markets experience
- Strong communication (written and oral) skills with proven strategic influencing, negotiating and persuasion skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with a good understanding of technology, operational, sales, and marketing issues
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of wealth management and product platforms
- Experience working with multiple US business & technology vendors
- Series 7, 65 or 66 securities licenses (or willingness to get)
