Position Summary
Avantax is seeking an Advisory Sales Specialist II who will act as a product sales specialist and supports Advisors with the Advisory platform. The Advisory Sales Specialist II will develop partnerships with financial advisors, managing a pipeline of cases to drive Advisory net flows. The Advisory Sales Specialist II is responsible for developing and implementing a business plan and sales strategy to ensure the achievement of goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Must maintain expert knowledge of the solutions available through the Avantax IMS Advisory Platform.
- Proactively engage with advisors by making outbound phone calls to motivate new business and drive Advisory sales.
- Consult with advisors on new client cases.
- Maintain sales pipeline and drive cases through to close.
- Respond to inbound Product and Sales calls.
- Embrace continuous learning, including regulations, and guides advisors and internal partners by explaining trends and developments in their area of expertise.
- Monitor work to ensure compliance with departmental goals and standards.
- Support special projects when necessary.
- Other job duties as defined.
Education & Experience
- BS/BA in a business-related field preferred.
- FINRA Series 7, 66, or 63/65 combo is required.
- CFP® is preferred.
- 3-5 years of applicable sales experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a professional role, working with Financial Advisors.
- Ability to work individually and also within a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate information in a way that advisors understand and adjust the message to the advisor you are supporting.

- Keying/typing, standing, walking.
- Sitting for an extended period.
- Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment.
- The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.

Base Salary Range:
$60,000 - $84,000; Variable incentive compensation eligible.
