The Opportunity

Adobe is hiring a Customer Technical Advisor to join our team. We are looking for an AEM functional and code level specialist in all AEM products and technologies including AEM methodologies as well as software and hardware limitations. Ideally, you will have experience in the e-commerce industry. You will act as a trusted partner to our customers and provide ongoing client technical consultation on Cloud tools, optimizations, and solutions. This will include educating clients on how existing and new product features and functionality work and effectively addressing product-related questions and technical challenges to help customers achieve their business goals.

What you'll Do

The Customer Technical Advisor's (CTA) role is a post-sales and customer-facing position that provides ongoing client technical consultation on Cloud and AEM application tools, optimizations, architecture, and solutions. This role will include advising merchants, external developers, and internal teams to ensure successful site launches and ongoing site stability for Adobe AEM and Commerce Cloud customers. Along with technical consultation, the CTA's role includes educating and enabling clients on how existing and new product features and functionality work and addressing product-related questions and technical challenges. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Always representing Adobe (work product, communications, presence) professionally in both client and team situations.
  • Keeping abreast of technology evolution, new solutions, proactively research, and staying ahead of the curve, continuously drive self-development of new skills, and improvement of existing skills.
  • Defining the operational and DevOps processes to deliver consistent value to merchants and partners.
  • Evaluating analytics from customer cloud environments to make recommendations for improvements and optimization.
  • Developing and maintaining effective and positive working relationships with team members.

What you need to succeed
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 8+ years of working experience in the technology, IT Operations, or e-commerce sectors is a plus.
  • Experienced knowledge of AEM or equivalent Java-based applications
  • Expert knowledge of API standards (REST and Graph QL) as well as frontend solutions (PWA, headless, and storefront themes)
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication, presentation, and conflict resolution skills. All while always maintaining a positive attitude towards customer success.
  • Ability to explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high-level decision-makers.
  • Solid grasp of web content management, digital asset management, cloud-based digital marketing, and commerce solutions, strongly preferred.
  • Ability to be flexible and maintain attention to detail while multitasking and meeting multiple project target dates.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to excel in an environment with limited supervision.
  • Ability to comfortably investigate and solve complicated AEM issues
  • Experience with load, functional & UAT testing protocols and tooling
  • Knowledge of DevOps (e.g., CICD, Webhooks).
  • Extensive experience in PHP, JavaScript, or other languages.
  • Extensive experience in Design Patterns and Application Lifecycles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cloud concepts and experience with different Cloud services.
  • Solid foundation in DBMS and Optimization (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL).
  • Experience with Version Control Systems (SVN, Git, etc.).
  • Experience with web services (SOAP, REST, XML-RPC) and network services (e.g., FTP, SFTP, SSH, DNS, SMTP, and similar technology).
  • Experience with XML, HTTP, and HTML.
  • Experience with UNIX-like systems.
  • Knowledge of web servers: Apache/NGINX.
  • Experience with high load systems with a specialization in system monitoring and optimization.
  • Experience in working with CDN's.
  • Experience with distributed memory object caching systems (Memcache).
  • Competency with building and architecting large-scale server applications in a distributed environment.

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.

Colorado Starting Salary: $116,700 - $151,500

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
