Overview
The Affirmative Action Manager will be responsible for ensuring our locations remain compliant with our Affirmative Action Plans ("AAP"). This will require cross-functional coordination with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Diversity Equity & Inclusion teams, the Legal Department and outside counsel to educate relevant stakeholders across our organization on the AAP goals, and partnering with relevant functions to ensure steps are taken to meet those goals. The Affirmative Action Manager will also be the primary point person to interface with the OFCCP in any audit and be prepared to assist in the coordination of responding to any audit.
Primary Responsibilities
• Be a subject matter expert on the Company's AAPs, job groups and placement goals• Be the primary contact for outside counsel in collecting and refining employee data for annual preparation of AAPs• Develop and oversee plans to meet the Company's placement goals for miniorities and women, veterans and individuals with disabilities, partnering with relevant functions in HR to ensure implementation• Coordinate with relevant functions in HR to support our internal action-oriented programs designed to encourage and promote opportunities for miniorities and women, veterans and individuals with disabilities• Responsible for compliance tracking and achievement of placement goals• Responsible for overseeing any follow up of issues identified in AAPs• Monitor and analyze changes in federal, state, and local laws and regulatory changes in conjunction with OFCCP guidance• Coordinate with relevant functions in HR to support our external outreach and partnership efforts with organizations that promote equal employment opportunity (which may include organizations representing women, racial, ethnic and religious minorities, individuals with disabilities, protected veterans, LGBTQ communities and other such sources of diversity).• Lead Company response and defense in case of an OFCCP audit• Coordinate training for various functions of HR and the business on Affirmative Action and OFCCP compliance• Other project assignments as may be required
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree and five-seven years of experience in Affirmative Action Progam planning and management, Human Resources, , Diversity Equity & Inclusion and/or EEO Compliance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience• Thorough understanding of Affirmative Action regulations, OFCCP requirements and EEOC guidelines• Strong analytical and communication skills• Ability to establish strong cross-functional working relationships and cross-functional project teams• Ability to gather and analyze statistical data, compile information and prepare accurate documentation• Project or program management experience• Ability to work efficiently/effectively while meeting deadlines • Strong MS program skills including Word (Policy documentation), Excel (data compilation and analysis), and PowerPoint (stakeholder presentations)
Preferred Qualifications• Paralegal-Employment law experience• PHR or SPHR Certification• Expert Excel or Access skills
Physical Demands
• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), • Physical demands may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 10lbs• Some travel required (~10%) for industry conferences, employee training, etc.
