Job Description

Q2 is seeking an Agile Coach for our Enablement Office in the Global Technology Organization. The Agile Coach will drive the adoption and optimization of lean agile value and principles utilizing PMI Disciplined Agile practices. The agile coach will work directly with operational teams to help raise the level of agility and play a key role in engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to help facilitate agile maturity. The Agile coach will provide agile coaching to teams and programs leveraging Scrum, lean, Kanban, SAFe, and DevOps principles and practices, with practical guidance transitioning from waterfall.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide Agile coaching to teams on all aspects of agile best practices, with a strong focus on Disciplined Agile practices
  • Coaching and mentoring Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Agile Teams, Program/Project Managers, and management to mature planning, Agile ceremonies, continuous improvement, and continuous delivery practices
  • Lead deliver of small projects utilizing existing agile practices and utilize Disciplined Agile best practices to achieve desired outcomes
  • Transferring knowledge and helping teams continuously reflect and improve, becoming more effective in their roles and increasing the outcome, collaboration, and quality practices
  • Lead the overall relationship between lines of business (LOB) or groups and the Agile CoP (and other resources supporting Agile Transformation), relationship building, business development, facilitation of expert resources and alignment with team / leadership needs
  • Onboard new groups or LOBs into the transformation process, provide overview presentation and evangelize Agile practices
  • Introduce Agile methodologies and implement agility in the project delivery processes using current practices and Disciplined Agile
  • Continue to evangelize the need for top-down support for agile culture and values to achieve maximum results from the use of agile practices
  • Demonstrates and shares experiences and observations with all team members and to ensure best practices are being used and recommends process improvement
  • Oversees the overall objective cohesion of initiatives involving many scrum teams and leads initiative performance
  • Assesses emerging trends/best practices and determines implications of proposed methodologies on meeting business unit strategy

Experience and Knowledge

  • Typically requires Bachelor's Degree minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of PMI Disciplined Agile a plus
  • Hands-on experience using various Agile Tools, Jira preferred
  • PMP and CSM designations preferred
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methods/techniques (such as User Stories)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Agile Project Management
  • Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, CSPO, CSP, PSM, PSPO)
  • 2 years of experience assessing team performance
  • Will be responsible for coaching and developing teams of Software Engineers and IT Engineers
