Nationwide's Personal Computing Services organization is seeking a highly motivated Technology Delivery Professional (TDP) to lead an Agile-based team responsible for delivering infrastructure solutions and services that support the Personal computing fleet . We reside within the I&O Digital Workplace Technology area and provide automation services and support to approximately 33,000 endpoint computing devices (physical and virtual) used by Nationwide associates and contractors. On a journey to redefine the end user experience, we are finding creative ways to simplify and automate the enterprise experience for our end-user community

The position is located on our PC Management and Software Distribution line, and will provide you with the opportunity to collaborate and network with many technical and operational teams across the organization as we continuously improve the efficiency of our platform to support both Physical and Virtual PC products. This position will partner with other TDPs across lines within the department and will work very closely with our product owner and product to make adoption of technology easier for our end user community.

Day to day responsibilities include:
  • Facilitating team ceremonies to encourage collaboration and continual delivery
  • Identifying and removing roadblocks to delivery
  • Collaborating to continuously refine and prioritize the backlog
  • Consultation with the team to manage and qualify incoming demand
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering and routing work to appropriate lines
  • Revising / Creating processes that encourage automation to increase quality and speed of execution
  • Monitoring of team metrics to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
  • Champion of Nationwide Agile and Product Management principles
  • Managing and prioritizing work in Jira
  • Managing and monitoring operational ITSM work assigned to the team.

The ideal candidate has
  • Critical thinking and strong communication skills
  • Proven record of continual learning and growth
  • Proven Operational and Process engineering experience
  • Prior experience as a TDP / SCRUM master in an enterprise organization
  • ITIL / ITSM certifications and experience

Other nice to have skills include:
  • Work experience on an Infrastructure team
  • Data analysis, reporting, and presentation capabilities (PowerBl, Excel PowerPivot)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Windows Operating systems and management tools (OS Deployment, Application packaging/delivery, Configuration Management using Microsoft Endpoint Manager - SCCM/Intune)
  • 1E Platform experience (SCALE, Instruction, Guaranteed State)
  • Experience with Network systems/protocols (IP, DNS, DHCP, WiFi)
  • Cloud / Virtual technologies (Azure, AWS)
  • OS Security / Vulnerability Management

Compensation Grade F5

This role can be filled remotely (anywhere in the USA) or in a hybrid capacity, collaborating in office with the team a few days every other week. Subject to change.

As a Technology Delivery Professional, you'll be responsible for ensuring work is being completed, setting delivery practices within the team, promoting and supporting "agile infrastructure" practices and drives tool adoption.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports basic to complex product levels (Product Suite, Product Group and/or Product).
  • Serves as a Player Coach or work coordinator.
  • Works to implement set practices for the team such as agile infrastructure practices, SCRUM, Kanban, etc.
  • Drives flow of work (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Responsible for standardized tooling adoption (technical tools and business process tools).
  • Partners with Agile Coaches to work across Infrastructure & Operations to implement and drive Agile Infrastructure Practices.
  • Partners with consulting team that assists consumers with integrations, adoptions, etc.
  • Experiments and learns new technologies as appropriate.
  • Participates in internal & external technology communities.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director, Technology Engineering/Technology Product Manager.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or designation are not required, but encouraged (i.e.: AWS, Azure, Scripting and Development Languages, Delivery Methods, Security).

Experience: Four years or more of technology experience with moderately complex integrated solutions with an ability to develop and modify existing solutions for specialized needs. Experience with automation of deployment of solution configurations and experience with system management processes and tools.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong communication skills, knowledge of planning, management and execution of Accelerated Solutions Deliver framework, Information Security acumen. Influencing, Negotiation and Priority Setting needed. Insurance/Financial Services Industry knowledge a plus.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the Vice President and Human Resources.
