Job Description
This role is part of Experianās Credit and Verification Services, where our purpose is to empower and inform decisions through data and innovation. We turn complex data into clear insights that help businesses understand and support their customers. Our data is trusted by over 5,000 clients and 1.5 million consumers.
The role of the Agile Portfolio Office Manager is ideal for an experienced agile portfolio management practitioner who exemplifies what good looks like in lean and agile ways of working. In this role, you will be an enabler to drive the supporting function for the Agile Portfolio Office to enable faster delivery of the correct value to Experian customers and clients. You could do this through:
- Managing, leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Agile Portfolio Staff.
- Partner with the Agile Delivery organisation to ensure alignment in ways of working.
- Provide timely MI reporting through automation of tooling.[ES1]Ā
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage a team of Agile Portfolio Staff, supporting multiple teams and domains, ensuring focus on the delivery of customer value
- Assess and develop skills to ensure we obtain the best out of our supporting colleagues.
- Work closely with the Agile team and project management teams to ensure the timely delivery of automated MI and reporting.
- Provide advice and recommendations on tooling choices to drive the strategic direction of the Agile Portfolio office in line with the wider UK&I business.
- Work with the Agile Portfolio Office colleagues to drive continuous improvement in management information, automation and data quality.
- Drive the creation, maintenance and sharing of knowledge management for the Agile Transformation Office.
- Be an active member of the Agile Portfolio Leadership Team, helping to implement strategic direction of the wider team and suggesting, driving continuous improvement activities.
- Make use of metrics and measures to drive insight and continuous improvement to ensure the portfolio is continuously improving (e.g. DORA, Agile maturity, Team health, RAT etc) and impediments are processed promptly.
- Use analysis to drive data led conversations when teams are not working in the best way and then use these results to influence, using various techniques changes in behaviour and culture with regards to ways of working.
- Coach and mentor, the team members and the wider business to encourage an agile mindset and ensure a safe, positive and collaborative environment to continuously improve.
- Challenge the status quo to disrupt current ways of working to improve future ways of working with a measurable outcome.
- Enable transparency of the flow value through their domain with traceability back to strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Experience recruiting, managing and leading individuals and teams.
- Deep working knowledge of agile methodologies, best practice, agile project management, agile portfolio management and experience in agile delivery environment.
- Extensive experience of Agile toolsets, with a particular focus on metrics and reporting capabilities.
- Experience balancing multiple priorities, dealing with ambiguity, and thought leadership in areas that may be new to stakeholders.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, communication, Support and interpersonal skills
- A personal style that embraces servant leadership, teamwork, cares deeply about the work and the teams, and shares openly and honestly with all.
- Relentless positivity and enthusiasm that helps teams ācatch the sparkā of transformation and imagine new possibilities
- Proven track record of enabling data-driven continuous improvement to allow teams to deliver value at pace while maintaining quality.
- Ability to coach and mentor the team and wider business to create a safe and open environment where teams can succeed.
