Duties
The Digital Product Owner role is a foundational role in Evernorth's Agile Scrum software development framework. Product Owners ensure that the right product features are built at the right time by the Scrum team to support business product development and maximize business value delivered.
As a member of our product and planning team, you will work with product stakeholders to determine the business and technology objectives for your assigned technical product(s). The Digital Product Owner is responsible for the road map and day-to-day management of digital healthcare related consumer funnels.
This highly technology and business-oriented individual will ensure the effective execution on internal and external projects, delivering the outcomes needed to support these lines of business. The Digital Product Owner will partner with the product marketing teams, external agencies, internal IT resources, and with global subject matter experts, as the forefront member and owner of new and ongoing initiatives. The Product owner work with design, strategy and engineering to create a compelling vision culminating with delivery of a disruptive product to market that fits customer needs.
Product Owners must possess a broad base of skills and knowledge spanning digital technology, healthcare integration, project management & planning, a/b testing, strategy and business planning, user experience design, engineering and agile/lean development practices. Develop, measure and report performance of all products and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
What you'll do
- Prioritize and manage a product backlog for delivery of value early and often
- Lead in facilitating using effective product discovery techniques
- Available to the team in providing timely clarifications and make difficult business trade off decisions on a regular basis
- Align priorities across customers, business partners, subject matter and user experience experts Strategic oversight and ownership of the product vision
- Own the product road-map as well as the release plan, sprint goal and release goal for agile scrum team
- Conduct on-going analysis of standard operating procedures to assess performance vs. budgeted standards for continuous process improvements, improved efficiency, and improved customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with customers, both internal and external, to validate assumptions and respond to feedback.
- Assist team in backlog refinement, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
- Own Sprint Reviews with broader stakeholders and elicit feedback on the product
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum practices and new trends
- Responsible for coordinating and working closely with engineers and product management to produce product documentation such as user guides, release notes, internal and external training Actively participate in enterprise scrum of scrums

- Be a core contributor during sprint planning and sprint review meetings, as well as participate in other traditional scrum ceremonies
- Comfortable in talking technology with developers while knowing how to translate the language to communicate shareholders.
- Defining and owning business requirements for project initiatives
- Establish and communicate KPIs to executive management and pivot accordingly in an agile project methodology
- Experience presenting in front of senior leaders and audiences.
- Helps define and drive design concepts partnering with the design team based on business specifications
- Lead establishment of team objectives and key results (OKRs) based on input from Corporate OKRs, Product Management, other POs, and service team members
- Manages the product backlog and drives priority through risk, value, learning opportunities and dependencies
- Knowledge and experience working on of consumer facing web apps, mobile apps, using various APIs to create a consumable, saleable, and flexible experience
- Experience managing the execution of multi-channel web/mobile projects from inception through completion to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, error free and meet internal and external stakeholder needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly and appropriately handle sensitive information
- Agile/SCRUM experience specifically in Story/Acceptance criteria development
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes
- Utilizing applications like JIRA, Confluence, Google Analytics, and/or others.
- 3-5 years of digital product and/or business website ownership or related experience.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Interpersonal Skills
- Help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and development team).
- Utilize effective product discovery techniques to elicit business and user needs.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively. UX (User Experience) background, preferred.
- Ability to think critically and constructively about complex business problems, clearly communicate analysis, and present solutions to address the real business needs.
- Presentation skills preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bright, energetic, assertive and hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Education
Bachelor's Degree required, preference in Business or Technology
