Position Description

The Agile Program Manager is part of the Rockwell Automation Office of Product Safety and Security (OPSS). In this role you will work with a high-performing team of individuals passionate about ensuring that our products are delivered with the highest levels of security and safety.

A critical aspect of this position involves delivering business results by driving consistent application of agile/scrum practices. You will help foster collaboration and communication across teams, help teams self-organize, self-manage, and achieve OPSS objectives through effective Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices. A successful candidate is one that creates and maintains an environment for continuous learning and relentless improvement, helps coordinate cross-team dependencies, and collaborates with other agile teams to identify and adopt best practices to optimize team performance.

You will also work across business units to help drive preparation and execution of product security initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitates scrum and SAFe ceremonies (sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, refinement, Inspect and Adapt workshops)
  • Collaborate with and coach teams to help build agile culture by helping team members understand and engage with scrum and kanban practices, rules and values.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and internal and external stakeholders to ensure team execution and performance are aligned with business objectives.
  • Escalation of internal and external impediments
  • Removal of dependency-based impediments
  • Effective and timely communication of relevant metrics to help the team(s) assess their progress and highlight key achievements and areas of improvement.
  • Supports team in areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity.
  • Coordinate, manage, and help facilitate internal and external audits to assess security maturity and assure that security principles are correctly applied.
  • Provide program management support for product security initiatives across business units.

TRAVEL: Less than 10%

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in an agile development environment
  • Prior experience in scrum role (Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer)
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies and techniques
  • SAFe 5 Scrum Master Certification or another SAFe Certification
  • At least 2 years' experience in understanding and coaching Agile principles within SAFe.
  • Experience with Jira and Jira Align
  • This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor.
  • The Base salary compensation range for this role is 99,600.00 - 149,400.00 USD Annual, with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Out company benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education and experience.
