Our 2023 success has opened an opportunity for an experienced and proactive Agile Scrum / Project Manager who wants to be part of a transformation initiative leading the successful execution of strategic projects in an agile environment.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Agile Scrum/Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the Digital Management Solutions (Part of USA Today Network). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Please note this is a hybrid working opportunity with 3 days in our Plano Texas office. Must be able to drive SDLC/Agile processes and best practices across the DMS organization.

Location: Plano Texas | Hybrid (3 Days in the office )

Base Salary: $150,000-$160,000/annually

Key Responsibilities:

1. Agile Project Management:• Partner with Product Management, Customer Success, Sales Ops, Finance, and BI to align on DMS Roadmap projects and product features. • Own and lead the agile/scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.• Ensure adherence to agile principles and practices while fostering a collaborative and transparent team environment.

2. Project Planning and Execution:• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with cross-functional DMS teams.• Monitor and track project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

3. Stakeholder Communication:• Act as a liaison between engineering teams, product owners, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and milestones.• Facilitate communication to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.

4. Team Empowerment:• Empower and motivate team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.• Remove obstacles and impediments that may hinder the team's progress.

5. Quality Assurance:• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards.• Partner with Tech leads to implement and enforce best practices related to testing and quality assurance.

6. Documentation:• Implement standardized templates for project documentation, including epics, requirements, user stories, and sprint backlogs.• Ensure that all project-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible using confluence.

Qualifications:

1. Ideally educated with a computer science degree or equivalent related field experience.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Agile Scrum/Project Manager in a software development environment with proven success in managing and delivering projects using Agile methodologies.

3. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent agile certifications.

4. Ability to create and provide Agile / Scrum training across Product and Technology teams.

5. Strong knowledge of Jira administration and reporting.

6. Strong understanding of agile principles, Scrum framework, and project management best practices

7. Proficient in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ProductBoard).
