AI Build Consultant

Edelman’s continued evolution as the leading communications consultancy will require paramount focus on product development (technology and services) that leverages data and AI to transform its own and its client’s businesses. To achieve this vision, Edelman is building a critical new AI driven division that consists of four primary departments. Each department has a specific role and responsibility in the development, delivery and deployment of AI and data solutions across Edelman and the communications industry. 

We are seeking a candidate to help drive the delivery of AI capabilities and tooling for Edelman. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical building background, with developer skillsets and data product build skillsets emphasized. Time spent in a software delivery or solutions architect role would also be considered. Experience in AI tools and will be prioritized.  

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Integration: Lead the integration AI tools across the Edelman network, including horizontal tools like ChatGPT and Copilot, vertical-specific tools like Runway and ElevenLabs, and products we have developed in-house like Trust Stream. 
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders from various departments (creatives, designers, copywriters, strategists, media experts, etc.) to understand their workflows and identify AI-driven solutions. 
• Consulting and Strategy: Develop and implement AI strategies that drive transformational change across the firm. Provide consulting support to departments to help them leverage AI tools effectively. 
• Project Leadership: Lead AI integration projects, orchestrating efforts across multiple teams and ensuring timely and effective implementation. 
• Training and Development: Conduct workshops and training sessions to upskill internal teams on AI tools and best practices. 
• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest AI advancements and continuously explore new tools and technologies that can benefit the firm. 

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree in related field of study or equivalent experience 
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data product builds or product development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in AI integration, strategy development, and technology consulting. Experience in the PR/communications field or related industries is a plus. 
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and other relevant technologies. No specific technical or coding expertiserequired, but knowledge of the inner workings of LLMs, APIs, databases, and technological infrastructure will be critical. 
• Problem-Solving:Demonstrated ability to understand complex business workflows and prescribe AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and impact. 
• Leadership: Experience leading projects and teams, with the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and drive change. 
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 

Nice-to-haves:

• Industry Expertise: Experience in PR, crisis communications, creative/production/social content development, healthcare, or data analytics. 
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with prompt engineering and the ability to effectively use and operationalize AI toolkits. 
• Innovation Mindset: A proactive approach to staying ahead of AI trends and identifying new opportunities for technological integration.
