AI Data Curator / Business Continuity and Resilience

Job Summary:
The AI Data Curator is responsible for gathering, curating, and inputting training and related data into a generative AI platform. Solid knowledge of resilience including but not limited to business continuity, disaster recovery, incident management, risk management, and resilience industry regulations is a must. Candidate should also possess a technology-forward mindset and be able to adapt to new technologies, such as generative AI. This role involves working closely with various teams across the company, including employees and subject matter experts, to collect and organize resilience and Fusion knowledge data for training AI models. The AI Data Curator plays a critical role in ensuring that proprietary data is properly incorporated into the AI platform to enhance its performance and provide valuable insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Gathering and Resilience Knowledge Integration: Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to gather data from diverse sources, including internal databases, documents, and employee inputs. Leverage expertise knowledge of resilience subject matter to ensure the data collected aligns with the specific needs of the resilience domain.
2. Data Curation and Preprocessing: Cleanse, organize, and validate collected data to ensure its quality, accuracy, and relevance for training AI models. Ability to learn data preprocessing techniques, such as data normalization and transformation, to enhance the preparedness of the data for AI model training in the resilience domain is required.
3. Data Input and Technology Integration: Input curated data into the generative AI platform, following established protocols and guidelines. Ensure proper tagging, categorization, and structured representation of data to enable effective model training and analytics. Stay technologically updated and adept in handling new technologies, such as generative AI, to seamlessly integrate them into the data input processes.
4. Data Enrichment and Resilience Content Curation: Enrich and edit existing content, curating information specifically tailored for Fusion's platform. Leverage your resilience industry knowledge to provide valuable insights and recommendations that contribute to the enrichment of data for enhanced model performance.
5. Model Training and Resilience Expertise Collaboration: Collaborate with AI developers and data scientists to utilize curated data in training AI models. Provide expert input on resilience-specific data requirements and identify any gaps or limitations in the training data. Act as a bridge between the AI development team and the resilience subject matter experts to ensure the models are trained with the most relevant and accurate information.
6. Documentation and Audit Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, curation processes, and data input activities for future reference and audit purposes. Ensure that all documentation aligns with industry best practices and compliance requirements, including data privacy and security regulations by working closely with legal, privacy, and security teams.
7. Quality Assurance and Model Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular quality checks to verify the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the curated data and its impact on the AI models' performance. Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the models in generating valuable insights and recommendations in the resilience domain and Fusion Framework Platform knowledge.
8. Collaboration and Issue Resolution: Act as a liaison between the AI development team and other departments/users to facilitate data gathering, resolve data-related issues, and address user feedback. Use your collaboration and communication skills to foster effective cross-functional partnerships and ensure smooth operations in data-related aspects of the resilience domain.
10. Continuous Improvement and Industry Awareness: Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in AI data curation methodologies specific to the resilience domain. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance data collection and curation processes, incorporating insights from the resilience industry and updates to Fusion Framework System functionality, to continuously improve the overall effectiveness of the AI models and foster innovation in the field of resilience.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
- Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in related areas: business continuity, operational resilience, disaster recovery, risk management, third party risk management, and incident and crisis management.
- Additionally, prefer understanding in industry regulations and compliance related to data privacy and security.
- Ability to learn or existing knowledge of data management principles, data curation techniques, and AI model training processes.
- Ability to learn data cleansing, normalization, and preprocessing techniques.
- Experience in working with generative AI platforms and familiarity with AI development lifecycles is preferred but not required.
- - Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Very good communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in data curation or AI-related roles is preferred but not required,
- Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python or R, is a plus.
