What You'll Do

Soluna Cloud is looking for a Solutions Architect dedicated to helping customers implement AI solutions and realize transformational business opportunities. 

This role will work directly with customers to build bespoke solutions harnessing the power of AI. The team helps customers imagine and scope the use cases that will create the greatest value for their businesses, select and train and fine tune the right models, define paths to navigate technical or business challenges, develop proof-of-concepts, and make plans for launching solutions at scale. 

The Soluna Cloud team will work directly with customers and innovate in a fast-paced organization that contributes to game-changing projects and technologies. You will design and run experiments, research new algorithms, and find new ways of optimizing risk, profitability, and customer experience. 

We’re looking for top architects, system and software engineers capable of using ML, Generative AI and other techniques to design, evangelize, implement and fine tune state-of-the-art solutions for never-before-solved problems.

You will:

• Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
• Employ ML and Generative AI tools to provide a scalable cloud environment for our customers to label data, build, train, tune, and deploy their models.
• Define and develop solutions, system/software architecture and detailed designs through reference models, frameworks and use cases that describe the end-to-end system behavior and impact of the solution
• Work with the development teams to provide technical leadership support to define and develop overlay network services detailed designs
• Work with development teams to provide technical leadership support to define and develop cloud services detailed designs
• Engage directly with customers to understand their business challenges, assist them in implementing their ML ecosystem, and ensure successful deployment.
• Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of historical data to help automate and optimize key processes.
• Document system/software architecture and high level designs
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive model implementations and develop new algorithms.
• Build and mentor a team of strategists, data scientists, engineers, and solution architects 

What You Need to Get the Job Done

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience as technical architect or system/software architect
• Demonstrated experience in driving system architecture development across cross-functional teams
• 2+ years hands-on proficiency in Kubernetes, kubernetes operators and containers
• Hands-on experience with Helm charts, API gateways, ingress/egress gateways and service meshes (ISTIO, etc.)
• Experience coding in Python, R, Matlab, Java or other modern programming language
• 1+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience 
• 2+ years of experience hosting and deploying ML solutions (e.g., for training, fine tuning, and inferences) 
• 2+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience
• Strong working knowledge of deep learning, machine learning and statistics preferred 
• Hands on experience with deep learning (e.g., CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer), machine learning, CV, GNN, or distributed training 
• Should have an understanding of Kubernetes Deployment strategies
• Knowledge of Kubernetes environments and cluster management
• Should have experience with code tools like Ansible & Terraform
• Experience with DevOps development with exposure to DevOps tools, CI/CD pipeline and automation
• Must have excellent written and verbal/presentation communication skills
• Ability to work well with a distributed team
• Must have outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills; attention to details
• Strong communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts
