AI/ML Software Engineer

Buffalo Grove, IL (Remote Based in United States Only)

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Some of the things you will be doing:

• Assist in designing and implementing software that integrates machine learning to address challenges in the tax domain
• Collaborate proactively with a distributed team, including engineers, researchers, quality assurance, project managers, and product managers
• Participate in daily standups to stay aligned with team goals and progress
• Write clean, efficient code for AI/ML features under guidance from senior team members
• Engage in code reviews to learn best practices and improve your coding skills
• Contribute to unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Stay current with cutting-edge technologies and share your learnings with the team, especially with a focus on AI/ML
• Take on increasing responsibilities as you grow in your role

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 1-3 years of software development experience, with a keen interest in AI/ML
• Solid foundation in Python programming
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and a desire to apply them in production
• Basic understanding of machine learning libraries like PyTorch or Gradio
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Self-motivated with a passion for AI/ML and software development
• Experience with web frameworks (FastAPI, ASP.NET, React) or TypeScript is a plus but not required
• Understanding of microservices or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with graph databases or knowledge graphs is a plus but not required
• Projects or coursework in MLOps, data processing, or using cloud-based ML APIs is a plus but not required
