AI/ML Summer Intern

You will:

• Design and develop one or more software features powered by Artificial Intelligence during the internship.
• Build production quality solutions that balance complexity and performance and model complex interactions between people, software, infrastructure and policies in an enterprise environment.
• Participate in the engineering life-cycle at Balbix, including designing high quality AI infrastructure and data pipelines, writing production code, conducting code reviews and working alongside our infrastructure and reliability teams

You are:

• Able to take on very complex problems, learn quickly, iterate, and persevere towards a robust solution
• Intutive in using the right type of models to address different product needs.
• A good communicator, and facilitate teamwork via good documentation practices
• Willingness to learn, collaborate and challenge yourself.

You have:

• Graduate student in a STEM field with an excellent academic record. Publications or patents are not required, but a plus.
• Relevant coursework or demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Statistics, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Networking, Information Security.
• Experience programming in at least one of the following Python frameworks - Numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, tensorflow.
• Foundational knowledge of probability, statistics and linear algebra.
• Previous internship experience in software engineering, machine learning or academic research is a strong plus.
• Evidence of participation in software projects (open-source contributions, hackathons) is a strong plus
