We are currently seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer who will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI/ML-powered features and tools that optimize employee experiences and drive business outcomes. As part of our team, you'll work with cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and be at the forefront of the latest advancements in the field.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms to improve our Generative AI solutions focusing on NLP/LLM areas
• Identify and build the best performant solutions/models to solve specific business problems
• Conduct applied R&D to experiment with fine tuning of generative AI models for PayPal's data sources and evaluate trade-offs in performance / cost vs equivalent vendor or open source capabilities
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to optimise our Generative AI solutions to align with overall business goals
• Stay up to date with the latest NLP/LLM generative AI techniques and trends
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree
• Strong experience in machine learning algorithms with a focus on NLP/NLU, LLMs and Generative AI
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch and NLP techniques and tools such as Hugging Face, OpenAI GPT models
• Knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RLHF and other NLP and NLU techniques in financial services.
• Experience with cloud/big data technologies like GCP/AWS/Azure, Hadoop, Spark, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Fintech and/or Financial Services industry
