We are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented Vice President to join our pioneer Data Solutions team within our Operations department. This high-impact position will report directly to our Managing Director of Operations and will be responsible for managing a seamless delivery of data solutions for internal stakeholders, partners, and clients. The ideal candidate has a relationship-oriented mindset and possesses the technical prowess to conduct hands on analysis, and consistently drive and deliver on mission critical projects. They are a strong cross-functional communicator, with a proven track record for designing data architecture that powers data-driven decision-making across the firm. This is a great opportunity to have a measurable impact across business and technology stakeholders at a fast-growing Fin-tech firm in the Alternative Investments space.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate cross-functional data discovery sessions to identify opportunities for process improvements and reporting, recommend system modifications, and manage mission critical data solutions delivery
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for data operations to internal stakeholders, partners, and clients to ensure data solutions are aligned with business strategies and priorities
- Develop innovative data lifecycle processes that promote data governance and data quality
- Conduct data analysis, and prepare reports and business intelligence dashboards to effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
- Work with business stakeholders to solicit, gather and document requirements, execute on analytics asks, and provide expert support
- Become an expert in all things CAIS, while applying your experience data-driving solutions and decisions
- Influence annual goals and quarterly objectives, while assisting with bi-weekly sprint meetings and management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required, Master’s a plus
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience
- 2+ years of experience with Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Analysis
- SQL, Tableau (or other dashboard platform), and Excel knowledge required
- Prior experience working within the Agile methodology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstratable passion to dig into data
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex ideas, break them down into smaller, sequential plans, while understanding interdependencies to deliver solutions
- Ability to build strong working relationships with engineers, business analysts, designers, stakeholders (internal / external), and other teams across the organization
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate project requirements to technical and business stakeholders
- Prior experience working with Financial Data strongly preferred
- Cloud based architecture and software (Snowflake and/or AWS) exposure preferred
