Alternative Investments Onboarding Support Specialist
Job Description
The Alternative Investment Onboarding Support Specialist proactively builds business partnerships with advisors through detailed collaboration with our distribution and operations teams across the entire onboarding process (pre-, point of-, and post-sale). This role entails key responsibilities highlighted below and requires proactivity around communicating and executing upon all operational activity. It is also expected that these individual stays current on industry developments and master's all aspects of the alternative investment onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Engage in pre onboarding activities with clients including data room access, coordinating, and attending Fintech demos with advisors.
- Have a working knowledge and be able to guide clients through the subscription process at different partner firms serving as the point of contact for paperwork/subscription questions.
- Understand certification requirements, documents, and firm resources across respective platforms.
- Coordinate with the client service team on handling inbound inquiries on tax information, capital calls, redemptions, transfers, account maintenance, and account access requests.
- Maintain and understand platform availability for Nuveen funds throughout our distribution channels, acting as an internal point of contact for questions around availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred:
- Experience in the Financial Services industry
- 2+ years experience in Alternative Investments as it relates to onboarding
- FINRA Series 7 & 66 (or combination of 63 & 65); can be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Bachelor's degree
- A strong combination of client service and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of the financial markets and alternative investments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and internal business partners.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills; ability to analyze and prioritize projects and tasks.
Related Skills
Base Pay Range: $100,000/yr. - $130,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
