Aluminum Welding Operator

Role Summary

We are seeking an Aluminum Welding Operator who can perform the duties described below at our plant in Spartanburg SC USA.

Must have knowledge, experience and ability to weld aluminum. 1st shift hours

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machines or using manual methods in a safe manner to meet production goals.
• Assess welds to ensure cleanliness and within designated specifications of customer requirements.
• Repair robot welds as needed
• Conduct test to evaluate weld quality
• Collaborate with engineeringing to address issues
• Reads and follows all work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Ensures compliance with all safety and quality standards. Reports any deviations immediately.
• Trains other employees as needed

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Graduation from related trade school or high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least 1-3 years of related experience or combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience TIG welding. Experience with aluminum required.
• Knowledge and ability to assess metal structures to identify and initaiate repair of damaged welds.
• Ability to measure close tolerances (Metric & Imperial)
• Knowledge and ability to use small tools, operate air/hand toold, welders, grinder and buffing machines.
