We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a AMA CEJA Intern on our Health Science & Ethics team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office. As a AMA CEJA Intern, you will be a part of The Ethics Group Internship Program which offers candidates first-hand insight to the formation of AMA ethics policy. Interns provide support for ongoing Ethics Group projects and initiatives. The internship is a part-time position located at downtown Chicago offering a flexible schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- conducting primary literature research,
- assisting in drafting council reports,
- preparing summaries of articles of ethics or policy interest and contributing to the AMA Journal of Ethics
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be enrolled in an academic program at the time of the internship
- knowledge of basic principals and concepts of medical ethics
- Candidates should a have cover letter, resume, and writing sample (short essay illustrative of ethics or health-related work or a 500-word explanation of your interest in bioethics).
